The logo for the 2017 Relay for Life of Greene County will be unveiled at a short but motivating program Thursday, March 9, at noon in the courthouse rotunda in Jefferson.
The logo depicts this year’s theme, “Relay for Life – A Game Changer”. It will be the centerpiece of the Relay T-shirts and will be featured on promotional materials. It is once again designed by AAI graphic designer John Sigler as an in-kind donation to Relay for Life.
Peg Raney, chair of the event leadership team, will talk about new events at the game-changing relay, including a 5K Scrabble Run/Walk, a Ms Relay pageant, and a 50/50 cash raffle. She will also explain why the event leadership team has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 for this year’s event.
Teams are invited to come see the logo and share a bit of Relay camaraderie.
All businesses and organizations that have committed to sponsor the 2017 Relay are encouraged to have a representative at the logo event, as the sponsor photo will be taken.
All those attending the Thursday event are asked to wear purple to show support for cancer research and survivors during the 15 minute event.
The Relay for Life of Greene County will be during the day Saturday, April 22, at the Greene County Community Center.
