Greene County 4-H members are reminded that Thursday, Feb. 23, is the first test/training date for Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) certification. Testing is from 3 to 5:30 pm; training is from 6 to 7:30 pm.
All youngsters exhibiting beef, dairy (cattle and goat), meat goat, rabbit, poultry, sheep or swine at the Greene County Fair and Iowa State Fair must attend a training or test to become certified in the 4-H FSQA program for the 2016-17 4-H year.
4-H members in grades 4-6 must get their initial certification or recertification by attending training. 4-H members in grades 7-9 may take the training or pass an intermediate test. 4-H members in grades 9-12 may take the training or pass a senior test.
Testing dates are Thursday, Feb. 23, from 3 to 5:30 pm; or Thursday, March 23, from 3 to 5:30 pm. Training dates are Thursday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 7:30 pm; Thursday, March 23, from 6 to 7:30 pm, or Saturday, May 27, from 8 to 10:30 am.
