The following persons pleaded not guilty in Greene County district court Faith Barnes, 34, of Pleasant Hill, fraudulent practice- second degree, false reporting of a financial transaction, unlawful betting winnings more than $500 but less than $1000; Carl Allen Janssen, 30, of Denison, forgery (four counts) and ongoing criminal conduct; Tanner Tate Guess, 26, of Scranton, operating while intoxicated- second offense; and Jeremy John Tasler, 40, of Ames, OWI- third offense. Trial dates were set for April 4 in every case.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Amy Gaines, 23, of Scranton, child endangerment, manufacture/deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana in a school zone; Travis Michael Straight, 23, of Scranton, child endangerment, manufacture/deliver or possess with intent to deliver counterfeit marijuana in a school zone; Nicholas Anthony Balderas, 25, of Jefferson, public intoxication- third or subsequent offense; and Pamela Kay Johnson, 60, of Fort Dodge, OWI- first offense.
