The Greene County High School speech team will have four entries at the state large group contest at Valley High School in West Des Moines.
The following groups got “I” ratings at the district contest Jan. 21 and will go to the state contest:
- Radio news – Jordan Davis, Morrgan Zmolek, Arthur Bardole and Courtney Johnson
- Choral reading – “The Sneetches” by Dr Seuss, Kenna Marquardt, Olivia Hansen, Maddie Schroeder, Hannah Stein, Hannah Promes, Hannah McConnell, Caiti Schaben, Laurin Lyons, Chantel Flack and Emily Heupel
- Readers theater – “The Answer is D”, Kara Betts, Regan Lamoureux, Samantha Hardaway, Sarah Erickson, Ashlee Harmeyer, Emily Bettey, Ellie Madson, Caiti Schaben, Lindsey Paulsen and Brittany Harmeyer
- Short film – “Keeping Up with the Godashians”, Michael Kennedy, Marcelo Alarcon, Emily Heupel and Natasha Groves.
A one act play, “Not So Grimm Tales” received a ‘II” rating. Actors were Jordan Davis, Arthur Bardole, Claire Teusch, Morrgan Zmolek, Robert Lenchanko, Crawford Petterson, Lauren Swain and Naomi Long.
