The Jefferson public library will offer a pair of story times Wednesdays in February.
The Just for Babies lapsit story time is for infants ages birth through 23 months. The story time will emphasize adult-child interaction with stories, movement, rhymes and songs. Just for Babies will meet from 10 to 10:45 am, with social time following until 11:30.
The Ready Readers story time is for children ages 2 to 6 years. Stories, craft projects, movement games and rhymes will help children develop early literacy skills. Ready Readers will meet from 10 to 11 am, with social time until 11:30. A parent or responsible caregiver should plan to stay in the building during the program.
There is no registration required and no commitment to attend every week. Both programs are free.
