The Paton-Churdan speech team competed in the district large group contest in Perry on Saturday.
A short film created by sophomores Megan Carey, Briana Jewett, Carter Meseck, Eric Sabus, Ty Lynn Smith, Mason Sorenson and Eric Thompson, and freshman Kyla Beyers received a “I” rating and will advance to the state competition Feb. 4.
Senior Autumn Gannon and sophomores Jenna Beyers and Megan Carey did group improv and received a “II” rating.
“Both teams worked very hard and Paton-Churdan is proud of them,” speech coach Stephanie Pace said.
