The Paton-Churdan girls basketball team played a good second half in Churdan Monday against the Boyer Valley Bulldogs, but the effort couldn’t erase the first half. The Rockets lost to the Bulldogs 64-40.
Boyer Valley was ahead 19-10 after one quarter and 40-17 after two. In the second half the Bulldogs scoring pace slowed as they put up only 24 more points, and the Rockets picked up the pace, scoring 23 points for the final score of 64-40.
Jenna Beyers again was the Rockets’ lead scorer with 22 points. Grace Geisler scored 12 points, with three 3-point shots and three of four free throw shooting. Megan Carey scored four points and Kyla Beyers added another two.
