The Jefferson park and recreation department will host the annual Steven Silbaugh Memorial Youth Wrestling Tournament next Sunday, Jan. 15, in the Greene County Middle School gym.
Wrestlers in grades PK-2 will weigh in from 8 to 9 am with competition beginning at 10 or when brackets are complete. Wrestlers will be divided into two divisions: PreK-K and 1-2.
Wrestlers in grades 3-8 will weigh in from 10:30 to 11:30 with competition beginning at 12:30 pm or when the PK-2 groups are finished. There will be three divisions: 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8.
The tournament will be 4-man round robin. Trophies will be awarded for first through fourth places. Individual champions will receive a beanie stocking cap.
Pre-registration is $12 and can be done at the Greene County Community Center, 204 W. Harrison St, Jefferson. Registration at the door is $15.
