The Greene County High School junior class invites the public to a chili supper Friday, Jan. 13, at the Elks lodge in Jefferson. The Greene County High School girls and boys basketball teams will host CMB for a Mega Night in the Greene County Middle School gym and the Greene County Community Center. The Elks lodge is conveniently located just one block east of the school and the community center on W. Harrison St.
Serving time for the chili supper will be from 5 to 7 pm. The meal includes a bowl of chili, crackers, relishes, pie or dessert, and milk or coffee. Tickets are $6 each for ages 6 and older; ages 5 and under are free. Chili refills are $1 and milk refills are $.50.
Tickets may be purchased from any junior, at the door, or by calling the high school at 515-386-8126.
All proceeds from the junior class chili supper will go towards the 2017 prom which will have a “New York City” theme. The banquet and dance will be held April 8 at the Wild Rose Event Center, and the after-prom party will be held in the middle school gym.
