A new evidence-based survivorship resource is now available and can be shared with health systems and survivors.
Springboard Beyond Cancer is a new online tool for cancer survivors jointly created by the American Cancer Society’s Behavioral Research Center and Cancer Control Departments and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). It was created to help patients and survivors manage their care and communicate more effectively with their health care team, family members, and co-workers.
Survivors sometimes don’t know where to start, or maybe they don’t know how to manage their side effects from treatment, whether emotional or physical. this tool allows cancer patients in treatment as well as long-term cancer survivors to create personalized Action Decks, collections of information on specific topics relevant to cancer treatment, including common symptoms, stress and mood, wellness and support. They can identify goals, create a plan, identify challenges, monitor their progress, and reassess the plan, working with their health care team each step of the way.
