Fieldwork conditions improved across much of Iowa with only spotty rains during the week ending June 5, according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. Those who attend the Bell Tower Festival parade next Saturday will find a close, convenient and comfortable place to feed their family after the parade. The veterans groups – VFW, American Legion, and VFW auxiliary – will host a spaghetti lunch at the VFW hall on the east side of the courthouse square immediately following the parade.
