Women landowners host community photo project

Project available to other organizations, venues “River Stories: Views from an Iowa Watershed,” a community photo exhibit, took place last Sunday at the Town/Craft Center in Perry. The exhibit was created by a group of six area women landowners this spring. The landowners provided a short presentation to introduce the exhibit.

Soybeans well ahead of normal year

Sunny and hot temperatures spurred growth and fieldwork progress during the week ending June 12, according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. Statewide there were 5.9 days suitable (6.8 days in west central Iowa) for fieldwork, the second highest number of days suitable so far this year.

In Greene County district court a charge against Ronnie Neal, 37, of Marshalltown of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed on a motion by Greene County attorney Nicola Martino.
