Farm succession and estate planning is the topic at an informal “Coffee and Conversation” event Friday, Jan. 13, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Greene County ISU Extension & Outreach office in Jefferson. Donuts and coffee will be served at this free event.
Talking about farm succession and estate planning is difficult. Where should the conversation start? What information will be needed? How often should a succession plan be updated? Those are among the topics that Shane Ellis, Extension farm management specialist, will discuss.
“Farm Succession and Estate Planning” is one of a series intended to bring farmers and other ag professionals together for an informal discussion on current ag topics.
The January meeting is sponsored by Community State Bank of Paton and NEW Cooperatibve. No reservations are needed.
The series continues Feb. 10 with “Securing Your Farm Property” and March 10 with “Veterinary Feed Directive.”
