Greene County courthouse offices and the clerk of court office will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday. Offices will also be closed Monday, Jan. 2 as the county observance of New Year’s Day.
The county supervisors will hold their organizational meeting Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 8:30 am.
Jefferson city offices will close Dec. 23 at noon and will also be closed Dec. 26. Trash and recycle pick-up will be on the holiday schedule, with routes picked up one day later than usual and the Thursday and Friday routes both being done on Friday.
City hall will also be closed Jan. 2 and trash pick-up will again be on the holiday schedule.
The Jefferson public library will Dec. 23 at 5:30 pm. The library will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 26. The library will be open regular hours, 9 am to 1 pm, on Saturday, Dec. 31. The library will be closed Jan. 2.
Greene County Community Center will close Dec. 24 at 3 pm and remain closed on Christmas Day. The community center will be open regular hours, 5 am to 9:30 pm, on Dec. 26. The community center will close Dec. 31 at 3 pm and remain closed on New Year’s Day. The community center will be open regular hours Jan. 2.
The Greene County office of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 26, and Jan. 2.
