Wade Weiss, Greene County engineer since 1993, began his term as president of the Iowa County Engineers Association at that group’s annual conference last week in Ames. The Iowa County Engineers Association, a professional organization, was formed in 1913 to serve Iowa secondary road transportation needs.
“It’s nice to be able to give back to the organization,” Weiss said. “I’ve gotten a lot out of it. For personal and professional reasons I wasn’t involved before, but I appreciate the opportunity to be involved now,” he added.
He said he is looking forward to working with the next generation of engineers. He will serve one year as president.
