The Greene County Rams split a pair of basketball games as they hosted the South Hamilton Hawks for a Mega Night Dec. 13. The girls won their third game in a row. It’s the first time since January of 2015 the girls have won three consecutive games. They’re now 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.

Nativity Festival nets $7,600 for Habitat for Humanity
The fifth annual Nativity Festival, held Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson, drew good attendance and raised more than $7,600 for the Greene County affiliate of Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity. The total includes $2,750 donated by area banks as a match to funds raised.
