The Churdan public library board and staff will host a Christmas open house Saturday, Dec. 17, from 11 am to 1 pm. Special honored guest will be Joanne Legore, who is retiring after serving 40 years on the library board.
Santa Claus will also be at the open house at the invitation of the Churdan Lions Club. Attendees can sign up for the Lions Club Santa drawing. The drawing will be held between noon and 1 pm, after Santa has heard everyone’s wishes.
A silent auction is now under way at the library. Items are pictured on the library’s Facebook page. The winning bidders in the silent auction will be announced after the Santa drawing.
