Jefferson police officers wrote eight citations and gave 56 warnings during a special Traffic Enforcement Project (sTEP) Nov. 20-27 according to JPD captain Heath Enns . Officers also investigated three accidents during that time.
Officers wrote three citations for speed, three for driving with a suspended or revoked license, one for a registration violation and one for an equipment violation.
Warnings were issued as follows: equipment, 24; registration, 11; no proof of insurance, six; speed, five; dark windows, five; seat belt violations, three; stop sign, two; and suspended or revoked license, one.
