A service of remembrance was held Tuesday, Nov. 29, at First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson for James “Jim” Oliver Conner, 90, of Jefferson. Words of comfort were offered by the Rev Gordon Moen, pastor of the church. Mark Conner gave the eulogy. Soloist was Gary, with accompanist Keri Brooker.

Greene Co, Paton-Churdan school boards slate joint meeting
The Greene County Schools and Paton-Churdan boards of education will hold a joint meeting Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 pm at the school media center in Churdan. Business items on the agenda are communication/relationship and a review of the current sharing agreements. Both boards expect to discuss additional sharing of staff.
