The spacious new lobby/corridor at Greene County Medical Center has allowed a seasonal favorite, the medical center auxiliary’s “Holiday of Lights” to grow. This year’s silent auction includes 50 wreaths, Christmas trees, porch decorations and table centerpieces, about 10 more than in previous years.

Runners and walkers will own the streets of Paton for the sixth annual Gobble Gobble 5K Run/Walk  Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, starting at 8:30 am at the Loren Shriver Community Building in Paton. The registration fee is three canned items per runner, with all items being donated to the Action Resource Center (ARC) food pantry. The registration for T-shirts is past.

Jungle Into Junction, Holiday of Trees as fundraisers for pool fund A Festival of Trees will kick off at Jingle Into Junction today, Nov. 20, at the Grand Junction Community Center. Does Drove No. 196 made donations to a pair of worthy projects recently. The Does presented a check for $1,000 to Adopt-a-Family for the Christmas basket project. The money was from proceeds from the Election Day soup luncheon.

The Greene County Medical Center Foundation is once again celebrating the lives of those we have loved and lost by offering the “Tree of Life.” With a $25 gift, the loved one’s name will be attached to a special ornament and placed on the tree.
