Lora (Lynnette) Holz, 1932 – 2016

A memorial service was held Nov. 6 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson for Lynnette Holz, 84, of Jefferson. Interment was at Junction Township Cemtery in Grand Junction. Lora Lynnette (Downs) Holz of Jefferson passed from this life on Tuesday Nov. 1, 2016 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, as a result of several recent falls.

Weaver to make campaign stop in Jefferson

Kim Weaver, Democratic challenger to Rep Steve King for the Fourth Congressional district seat, will make a campaign stop Thursday at 10 am at Greene Bean Coffee in Jefferson. Weaver hopes “to let voters know my  intention of bringing compassionate, responsible representation to northwest Iowa, with a focus on solving problems and delivering results for Iowans,” a press release stated.
