Greene County magistrate court, week ending Oct. 20

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered against Shane Detlef Coil of Jefferson on a charge of criminal mischief- fifth degree. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. Coil must also pay a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, $600 restitution for his court appointed attorney, $450 victim restitution, and $121 court costs. The charge was amended from criminal mischief- fourth degree and remanded from district court to magistrate court.

A judgment was entered against Vincent Andrew Ratliff of Jefferson on a charge of theft- fifth degree. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge. Ratliff must also pay $400 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $100. The charge was amended from theft- fourth degree and remanded from district court to magistrate court.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Oct. 20 as follows: Jimmy Gene Godwin of Jefferson, theft- fifth degree; Shane Detlef Coil of Jefferson, assault- simple; Cody Newlin Todd of Grand Junction, trespass; and Jeffery Paul Olberding of Scranton, possession of drug paraphernalia.
