The Greene County Rams started their day Saturday at the Husky Tournament in Winterset. They topped Chariton, their first opponent 21-10, 21-14, but lost to Treynor 18-21, 9-21, and they lost to Norwalk 21-18, 12-21, 7-15.
Coach Donna Carhill said the team “really came out ready to play in our first game against Norwalk. We just couldn’t sustain an offensive charge to finish that match.”
Megan Durbin was 25 of 28 at the service line with two aces. She had 23 kills and 15 digs for the day. Emily Heupel served 21 of 23 with two aces, and Hannah Stein served 17 of 17.
Nadia Fisher had 22 kills. Hannah Promes had 49 assists and 18 digs.
