Plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the low 70s enhanced the Fall Festival at Deal’s Orchard west of Jefferson Saturday, and the forecast for Sunday is even a little bit nicer.
Lunch will be available from 11 am to 2 pm, and there will be plenty for families of all ages to do through 6 pm.
Horse drawn hayrides around the orchard and the pumpkin patch, a corn maze, a petting zoo hosted by the FFA, sand art, spin art, caricature drawing, and more. The orchard’s family fun zone, Apple Acres, includes a giant jumping pillow, slides, a corn pool, human hamster wheels, wiggle cars, duck races, pedal tractors, and even outsize checkers.
The ‘people watching’ is great, particularly watching folks take advantage of the photo settings at the orchard.
