Greene County Historical Society meets in Rippey Friday, Oct. 7, at noon. Rippey baseball will be featured and memories shared, led by Mary Weaver, Dan Peters and Lester Zanotti.
The Rippey Lions will meet for their regular meeting Oct. 6. The business meeting will follow the potluck supper

HOURS: Monday 1-6 pm; Tuesday 2-6 pm; Wednesday 3-6 pm; Thursday 2-7 pm; Friday 3-6 pm. Friday, Sept. 30, there will be a “Movie in the Grass” starting at 8:15 pm. Bring blankets and family-friendly beverages. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown indoors.
Book club started Sept. 1 but you can still join. Our first book is Mudbound by Hillary Jordan. Please message the library on Facebook, send an email or call and let us know you would like to be part of the RPL book club so we can get a book in your hands. We will meet Oct. 7 at 9 am to discuss the book and have pastries and coffee.

News in and around Rippey:
It must be pretty quiet in and around Rippey this week. I didn’t receive any last minute breaking news from the home front. As for me, it is anything but quiet here In Arizona. This household is filled with laughter and perpetual motion from the youngest three.
Hopefully the Rippey folks will have some news of their own to share by the end of the week for next week’s news. I know our librarian is busy coordinating a fall festival and will need many volunteers to help make this successful.
