The Greene County cross country teams ran at the Leon Fox Invitational in Perry on Thursday, Sept. 29. The girls team placed eighth out of 12 teams participating. The boys were short a couple of runners so they had no team score.
Ballard of Huxley won the meet with a score of 35. Dallas Center-Grimes was second with 38. DC-G boys claimed the championship, scoring 31. Nodaway Valley was second with 66.
Olivia Hansen led the Ram girls with a time of 21:43 and a 15th place finish. She was awarded a medal for her efforts. Next was Bailey Cunningham in 24th place in 22:19. Other finishes in the girls varsity race were Ashlee Harmeyer 23:51, 41st; Kassie Lamoureux 26:17, 67th; Izzy Bravard 26:33, 69th; Regan Lamoureux 26:12, 72nd; and Emily Bettey 27:53, 74th.
Finishes in the junior varsity girls race were Savannah Parker 28:54, 41st; Emma Larson 29:56, 45th; Emily Hofer 30:45, 48th; Kirsten Lamoureux 30:48, 49th; and Flavia Perri 31:347, 52nd.

Nick Killion had the best time for the boys team. He finished in 20:36 for 77th place. Brian Hardaway finished in 20:57 for 82nd place and Jacob Hueser finished in 30:02 for 159th place.
