The eighth grade Ram football team topped the Perry Bluejays 60-0 in a combined fifth quarter game Sept. 15 at Karber Field in Grand Junction. Tanner Allen received the opening kickoff and ran 82 yards for a touchdown. “That really got the team pumped up and ready to roll,” coach Tanner Lawton said.

In Greene County district court Ronald Dean Mulder, 59, of Perry was sentenced Sept. 9 to five years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine- third offense. In Greene County magistrate court disposition was entered Sept. 14 in a case against Somaly O. Jones of Des Moines on a charge of trespass (violating self-exclusion at Wild Rose Casino). He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, $60 restitution for his court appointed attorney and $203.40 court costs. Jones paid by bond forfeiture.
