Jefferson had some hot weather and 1.25 inches of rain during the week that ended Sept. 9.
Temperatures topped 90 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, according to KCCI’s SchoolNet 8. Low temperature for the week was 60 degrees.
Rain fell on four days during the week, with the heaviest rainfall Friday afternoon. The 9th grade football game was cancelled, but by the 7:30 kick-off of the varsity game, rain had left the area.
