Dear editor, I am writing today indirectly about the school bond vote. I am the government teacher at Greene County High School and I would like to simply urge those who did not participate in the previous bond vote, or any election perhaps, to get involved and VOTE!

Greene County magistrate court, week ending Aug. 11
In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered Aug. 10 against Paul Richard Nelson of Jefferson on charges of violation of a no contact order and assault- simple. On each charge Nelson was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge and a $5t county enforcement surcharge. Court costs were $103.

In Greene County district court Robert Earl Rivers Sr, 55, of Fort Dodge was sentenced Aug. 9 to 60 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault- serious, amended from assault while displaying dangerous weapon.
