The Pay It Forward committee, a volunteer committee working to educate voters about the Greene County Schools’ $19.4 million bond issue proposal, has slated town hall meetings around the district.
“We invite everyone to join us for town hall meetings regarding the upcoming school bond. These meetings are a great opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about the proposal,” said committee co-chair Tanner Lawton.
Meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 7 pm at the Scranton Community Center
- Monday, Aug. 8, at 7 pm at the Rippey library
- Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 7 pm at Greene County Middle School in Jefferson
- Thursday, Aug. 11, at 7 pm at Greene County Intermediate School in Grand Junction
A representative from Shive-Hattery will be present to address questions at the Jefferson and Grand Junction meetings. Shive-Hattery is the architectural firm which completed the facility study and has created the renderings of the proposed buildings.
Building tours will be provided at the Middle and Intermediate Schools.
