Rippey man killed in ATV crash in Rippey
A Rippey man was killed Wednesday afternoon driving an ATV on a Rippey city street. The accident occurred at 2:55 pm. According to the Iowa State Patrol, Keith Lavern Devilbiss, 78, of Rippey was westbound on Howard St driving a 2007 Honda 300 ATV.

The Jefferson city council at its June 14 meeting approved a $2,000 settlement to end a lawsuit filed a year ago over water runoff from the Highway 4 overpass. The settlement was recommended by the city’s insurer, EMC. EMC hired Kirke Quinn of Boone to defend against the suit.
