Once again, History Boy Theatre Co. brings professional theatre to the Bell Tower Festival with GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL!
In this two-man musical spoof, a pair of aspiring playwrights perform a backers’ audition for their new project – a big, splashy musical about printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg.
With an unending supply of enthusiasm, Bud and Doug sing all the songs and play all the parts in their crass historical epic, with the hope that one of the producers in attendance will give them a Broadway contract – fulfilling their ill-advised dreams.
This production stars History Boy Theatre Co’s own Rob Hoyt and Robby Pedersen and is also directed by the pair.
History Boy Theatre Co. enters its eighth year of production with this show and is looking forward to two more productions this year. Watch for upcoming information about HBT’s traditional New Year’s Eve dinner and show as well as a brand new, spooky Halloween show.
