The VFW, the VFW auxiliary and the American Legion invite military veterans to ride a float in the Bell Tower Festival parade next Saturday. Organizers have construction of the float well in hand; all they’re looking for is veterans to ride it. No physical training, no formations required.

FIFTY Fest, the 37th annual Bell Tower Festival, will again include an old-fashioned spelling bee hosted by the Greene County Historical Society. This year’s spell-down is slated for Saturday, June 11, at 2 pm at the Greene County Community Center. Trophies will be awarded to first and second place winners and everyone will receive a ribbon.
