Teachers have a bit more time to put in on the school year, but as of lunch time Wednesday, school is out for the summer for both Greene County school districts.
At Greene County Elementary, the last departure from school included some hugs, some high-fives, and bubbles from the high school Interact Club.
Libraries across the county are geared up for their summer reading programs, with several of them using the theme “On your mark, Get set, Read!” Registration for the Jefferson public library’s program starts June 1.
The Jefferson park and recreation department has planned a full schedule of activities for children of all ages, including swim lessons. Download the Summer Activity Guide here. JPRD activities are available to all children regardless of where they live.
