Sixth graders from Greene County, Paton-Churdan and Coon Rapids-Bayard, congregated at Squirrel Hollow Park Thursday, May 12, to learn about nature and conservation. There were nine mini-courses beginning at 9:30 am, with topics including soils, bees, timber wildlife, Iowa trees, native birds, monarch butterflies, gun safety, grasslands and birds of prey.
