Seniors were honored at the Greene County High School music department’s annual Awards Concert Monday evening.
Band director Wes Anderson introduced 17 seniors and their parents before presenting awards to four seniors. Reilly Harrington, a French horn player and All-State musician, received the Arion Award. Director’s awards were presented to flute player Brittany Richardson and tuba player Jarrett Delp. Noah Exline received the jazz band award.
Choir director Dave Heupel introduced 24 seniors and their parents. David Petersen, a three-time member of the All-State Chorus, received the Arion Award. Victoria Sims and Danielle Johnson received director’s awards.
The concert band, treble choir and concert choir performed the music on which they’ll be judged at the Iowa High School Music Association’s large group contest in Harlan Friday evening. The concert band performs at 6:50, the treble choir at 7:45, and the concert choir at 8:30. The public is encouraged to attend.
