The Greene County girls’ track and field team placed fourth at the Jayette Relays in Perry on Thursday, April 14. Winterset took the team title with 122 points. North Polk was close behind with 120 for second place. Roland-Story scored 99 points for third; Greene County 86, fourth; Perry 77, fifth, and Clarke 76, sixth.
Megan Durbin gave a season best performance, earning first place in the high jump with a leap of 5’ 4”. Also turning in first place efforts were Janelle Brophy, long jump 14’ 3”; Kenna Marquardt, discus 111’ 9.5”, her best this season, and the sprint medley unit, Melanie Doran, Laurin Lyons, Durbin and Olivia Hansen 1:56.97, also a season low.
