The Greene County Schools board of education will hold its first public forum Wednesday, April 13, at 5:30 pm in the conference room at the administration building, 204 W. Madison in Jefferson.
The forum will follow public hearings on next year’s school calendar, an amendment to the current year budget, and next year’s budget.
Two or three school board members, along with superintendent Tim Christensen, will meet with the public from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The meeting will include an educational update related to the district’s vision, mission, values and goals, an update on other business of the district, and then time for questions and answers.
The public forums will be held the second Wednesday of each month. They are being instituted at the suggestion of concerned parents at the March regular board meeting.
