The Greene County High School jazz choir, the Jazzatonics, placed fourth on March 29 in Class 3A at the Iowa Vocal Jazz Championships at West Des Moines Valley High School. Only eight groups were selected to perform in the highly competitive state contest.

In addition, Michael Kennedy received the Outstanding Musicianship Award for his efforts. The Jazzatonics is directed by Dave Heupel.
