“There’s No Place Like Prom”
The Greene County class of 2017 will host junior-senior prom with a theme “There’s No Place Like Prom” Saturday, April 9.
The public is invited to view the Wizard of Oz decorations at the Wild Rose Event Center Saturday from 4 to 5 pm. This is free to all and allows pictures to be taken before the evening’s festivities begin.
Members of the community are invited to view the grand march as the students Follow the Yellow Brick Road from 5:30 to 6:15 pm at the Greene County courthouse. Students will start the grand march on the south side of the courthouse and walk down the sidewalk by the Bell Tower and then turn north on Wilson. In case of inclement weather the grand march will be at the Greene County Community Center.
Students will then drive to the Event Center at Wild Rose Casino to enter Emerald City for the banquet and dance. The dance ends at 11:30 pm with students exiting the parking lot to go south on Highway 4 with the assistance of our JPD officers. The after-prom party begins at 12 am at the middle school.
