Aaron Thomas, son of the late Ed Thomas, will speak Saturday, April 16, at 7 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 208 W State Street, Jefferson.
In this incredible story of ordinary people being thrust into an extraordinary situation, Thomas shares his family’s journey of showing uncommon strength during the darkest of times. His father Ed Thomas was the high school football coach from Aplington-Parkersburg who was fatally shot by a former player with mental illness.
This event is open to the public and is being sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson, First Presbyterian Church of Paton, and First Presbyterian Church of Grand Junction.
A $5 admission will be charged to help defray the cost of the speaker. Tickets can be purchased at First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson (in person at 208 W State St, Jefferson or call 515-386-2514) or at the door. Any extra funds generated will be donated to the Ed Thomas Family Foundation. Seating is limited and child care is available upon request.
