In Greene County magistrate court judgments were entered against Chad Christopher Louk of Jefferson in two separate cases. In a case that was initiated in district court Louk was charged with criminal mischief-fourth degree. The charge was amended to criminal mischief-fifth degree and a judgment was entered in magistrate court for a $65 fine with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. Court costs were $60. The other case was initiated in magistrate court on a charge of domestic abuse assault-simple. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $200 victim restitution. Court costs were $81.50.
Sonya May Smith of Lohrville was sentenced to a day in jail with credit for time served on a charge of theft-fifth degree. Smith was not fined, but a judgment was entered for a $125 LEI surcharge and $60 court costs. A companion case initiated in district court in which Smith was charged with four counts of forgery was dismissed.
