About 30 persons were in the courthouse rotunda for the unveiling of the logo for the 2016 American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Greene County last Thursday. Relay for Life chair Peg Raney was emcee for the lunchtime event.
As in the previous three years, the unique logo was designed by John Sigler, senior graphic designer at AAI/Spalding. The logo features a map of Iowa, with Greene County marked by an awareness ribbon. The logo design and screen printed T-shirts are donated by AAI/Spalding, as well as the white T-shirts ShineOn Designs is screen printing for the Color Out Cancer 5K run/walk. The donation was coordinated by Kristin Russell, human resources manager at AAI/Spalding.
The back of the T-shirt names all Relay for Life sponsors at the $500 level or higher: AAI/Spalding, Jefferson Kiwanis, Jefferson Telecom, Raccoon Valley Radio, A & W Family Restaurant, Bauer Built Manufacturing Inc, Farmers Mutual Insurance Association, Greene County Community Center, Greene County Medical Center, GreeneCountyNewsOnline, Hy-Vee, Home State Bank, Jefferson Bee & Herald, Peoples Trust & Savings Bank, Neese Inc, Wells Fargo Bank, UnityPoint Clinic – Jefferson and Wild Rose Jefferson.
The 20th Relay for Life of Greene County is Saturday, April 23, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.
