The Gardens will host a unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to live with dementia.
Anyone who works with or cares for someone with dementia, and the public, is invited to attend a “Virtual Dementia Tour: Your window into their world” at The Gardens, 1000 W. Washington in Jefferson, this Friday, March 18.
The tour is an individual experience through simulated dementia to give persons a better understanding of the physical and mental challenges of those with dementia. The tour takes about 20 minutes, with a pre- and post-survey added.
The tour will be held from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Persons are asked to call The Gardens, 515-386-2555, to reserve a time. Space is limited.
There is no charge.
