The Iowa Poetry Association has extended the deadline for entries in this year’s annual contest to March 15.
The IPA’s contest is open to everyone who lives in Iowa. There is no entry fee, and no membership or book purchase is required.
Only original, unpublished poems will be accepted, and except for student poems, they must be submitted by the poet. Any subject or form will be accepted except for a few categories in which special requirements apply.

Poems for the 2016 edition of Lyrical Iowa will be selected via the contest. Many Greene County poets have been published in years past.
