The 20th Relay for Life of Greene County is only two months away, and while teams are planning and holding fundraisers, Relay sponsorship co-chairs Craig and Deb Marquardt are wrapping up the sponsorship drive.
Letters were sent in late January to previous Relay sponsors, with responses requested by Feb. 26.
Sponsorships are available at five levels as follows: platinum – $1,250 or more; gold – $1,000; silver – $500; bronze – $250; and Hour of Hope – $100. Sponsors at the platinum, gold and silver levels will be listed on the back of the Relay for Life T-shirts, and it is those sponsors for whom the Feb. 26 deadline is most important.
Sponsorships cover all event costs so that the money raised by teams can go directly to the American Cancer Society’s mission of awareness and advocacy, patient support, and research.
Businesses or organizations who are interested in sponsoring this important community event to benefit the American Cancer Society can contact Craig or Deb Marquardt at 515-968-4540 or csbnet@wccta.net, or Caryline Clark at 515-727-0046 or caryline.clark@cancer.org.
The Relay for Life of Greene County will be Saturday, April 23, from 9:30 am to 2:30 m at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson. The Color Out Cancer 5K run/walk will start at 10:30, immediately following the poignant and celebratory survivor lap.
