The weather was gentler for Jefferson residents during the week ending Jan. 29 that it had been during the previous week.
The high temperature was above freezing by the end of the week and the low temperature stayed in double digits above zero.
Volunteer weather observer John Beltz reported 0.8 inch of snow for .07 inch of precipitation during the week.
