The Greene County Gobblers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual dinner and auction fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 6, at Clover Hall on the Greene County fairgrounds.
A social hour will begin at 5:30 pm, with a catered pork loin and turkey dinner served at 6:30. The live auction will start at about 7:30. Bidding on silent auction items will continue through the evening.
Items donated for the live auction include print artwork, clothing, and furniture for home nd office. Big ticket items re a Winchester Super X turkey camo shotgun, V muzzleloader and a Mossberg Patriot rifle and scope.
All proceeds from the evening will go toward acquisition of public hunting and fishing properties, and to pair of local youth activities – a youth outdoor day and the Save the Habitat, Save the Hunt program.
Ticket price for the banquet includes a one-year membership to the National Wild Turkey Federation. Tickets are available by calling Fred Long at 515-370-0905. Pre-registration is encouraged by Jan. 29.
