Greene County crowned two champions at the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference wrestling meet Jan. 23 in Nevada. Senior Tommy Bradshaw continues to dominate the competition. Sophomore Kane Borgeson returned to the line-up following a shoulder injury to win the title at 113 pounds.
Sophomore Cayden Gerdes was second at 132 pounds. Junior Isaiah Yoder was third. Senior Mark Kendall and junior Hunter Ruth earned points for fourth place finishes.
It was Parents’ Night on Tuesday, Jan. 19, as the Rams introduced the parents of the wrestling team. Each was honored and thanked for their support of the sport. Then the Greene County wrestling team hit the mats, losing a double dual. The Rams fell to South Central Calhoun 46-11 and to Guthrie Center 50-12. Guthrie Center defeated South Central Calhoun 40-36.
