The Jefferson Elks will host their 13th annual Valentine’s Dinner and Comedy fundraiser event on Friday evening, Feb. 12, at the Elks Lodge, 103 W. Harrison, Jefferson IA.
This year’s show promises to be entertaining with comedian Josh Alton on stage at 8 pm.
Alton is from Des Moines, but has toured all over the country entertaining crowds with his witty one-liners and hilarious personal stories.
A social hour will start at 6 pm. Dinner will be served at 7 pm. The menu will feature a beef fillet, garlic mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, dinner rolls, and dinner salad, topped off with a cheese cake dessert. A complimentary bottle of wine will be provided at each table.
Upon completion of the evening’s events, door prizes of a free table (seating 6 persons) for next year’s event and a gold necklace with garnet and diamond setting will be awarded to two lucky persons.
Cost of this year’s event will be $30 per person. Tables are set for six, but can be expanded to eight persons upon request. Individual tickets are also available. The Elks will make any number work.
